2022 Club Picnic

August 19, 2022

Hello Weston Trap Club Members,

It’s hard to believe but our 2022 season has come to an end.  The end of season picnic is scheduled for Sunday August 28 starting at 10:00 am.   Picnic class listings are attached to this email and are also posted at the club.  Anyone who wants to shoot at the picnic but did not shoot league will shoot in Class B if they have no other ATA averages recorded.  The shooting times are as follows:

Class B 10:00 am; Class C 11:00 am; Class D&E 12:00, and Class A&AA 1:00 pm

Please arrive to shoot within your class time frame.  Doubles will be available throughout the day.  The shooting fees will be $20.00 for 100 – 16 yard targets, $5.00 for a Lewis option, and $10.00 for 50-doubles targets.  There is no youth discount for the picnic.  If your team would like to shoot together, you will shoot in the class of your highest team member.

Supper will be served around 4:00.  The club will be providing Lee’s Famous Recipe chicken, with mashed potatoes and coleslaw.  Everyone should bring a dish to pass.  Refreshments will be provided by the club.  Everyone should bring their own plates, forks, knives, etc.  Don’t forget a lawn chair to ensure yourself a place to sit.

In addition, chips, dips, etc are great for afternoon snacking.  Feel free to bring your favorite item to share.

There will be set-up early in the morning the day of the picnic for anyone who wants to help.

Elections of club officers and Board members will be held at the picnic.  Please consider giving of your time for the upcoming year.

Fall League sign-up is currently available.  This is a six week session with 2 rounds shot each week.  First round of “16 yard” and the second round shot handicap at “22 yard”.

The Board would like to thank everyone for their patience and extra help this year due to our lack of setters.  Although it meant a little more work for everyone, the cost savings to the club were well worth it.

We hope to see everyone at the picnic!!  It is always a fun time!!
